Min-Han Lin designed Su Listen with the intention of fostering natural communication between individuals and their surroundings. The warm and harmonious color scheme echoes the theme of human harmony, creating a subtle sense of warmth throughout the space. Natural wood grain textures and tactile paint overlay are intertwined with woven carpets and linen-textured wallpaper, further enhancing the inviting atmosphere.
One of the standout features of Su Listen is the five individual rooms designed to prioritize spaciousness, privacy, and freedom of movement. The linear waiting area with strip lighting visually extends the space, while the glass wall in the corridor blurs the distinction between the inside and outside. This design choice enhances the overall sense of openness and connection within the clinic.
The warm color scheme of Su Listen contributes to the harmonious atmosphere. Circular ceiling lights and a bubble glass wall lamp reflect dynamic motion, enhancing the interaction between people and space. These design elements create a visually engaging environment that promotes a sense of calm and comfort.
Min-Han Lin's sustainable approach to design is evident in the realization of Su Listen. The extensive use of F1-grade wood panels minimizes the environmental impact while protecting the health of users. Digitally printed panels that mimic the appearance of marble reduce the need for mining, achieving a close resemblance to natural marble. Additionally, the clinic incorporates reusable furniture and minimizes the use of fixed decoration items, ensuring longevity and ease of repair and update.
With a total area of 118 sqm, Su Listen offers a tranquil space for individuals, couples, or families seeking counseling services. The design allows for privacy and freedom of movement, ensuring a comfortable and personalized experience for each visitor.
The Su Listen project began in August 2022 and was completed in December 2022 in Taiwan. The design team faced the challenge of creating five individual rooms within an existing area while prioritizing spaciousness, privacy, and freedom of movement. The linear waiting area and central area segmentation were key elements in achieving the desired atmosphere of natural communication.
Su Listen has been recognized for its outstanding design with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2023. This award acknowledges the creativity and resourcefulness of the design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Su Listen contributes to quality of life improvements, making it a better place for individuals seeking counseling services.
